What audience research would be appropriate?

We have the possibilities to either do a questionnaire about our film when we show it to the general public, or we can do 'interviews' after the viewing of our piece. We have chosen to do 'interviews' as we feel that this will allow the audience to give greater descriptions as to what they think of our film.
